Why The Ocean Is Blue

Far back in the midst of time, when the world was very young, our waters were white. The surface was completely covered in pure, white water with unknown creatures lurking beneath it. No blue was to be found anywhere in the oceans or seas. This was around a century or so ago before the massive change happened.
Before this massive change, the ocean was filled with boredom. No one enjoyed swimming, no one liked fishing and no one even wanted to go out on the water, because of it’s boring plain colour.

The New Zealand Government had been discussing for a quite a long time, trying to find a way to make the world happier again. To make the ocean more exciting. Our Government agreed with everyone when they said that the ocean was just too simple. It needed colour. It needed enthusiasm. It needed, HELP. Everyone whined day by day, because they believed that our waters were a main landscape that brought out the joy and happiness in their lives. This was such a huge problem because with a boring landscape that travelled across the whole world for everyone to see, came the lack of interest included with the lack of fun.

For, a couple days later, they had finally come to decision. The decision to take the earth by storm. A ma by the name of, “Julius Vogel,” found a way to make the ocean more creative as well as improve the happiness state in the world. This particular man designed signs to hang on poles around the place inviting the entire city to come and observe his decision to change the waters. His idea was so crazy that when people saw the sign which said, “You are invited to join me and the government at Pt England Beach/Reserve where we will finally put an end to your misery by changing the ocean! We will be down there next week, so come along!” they just ignored it and said, “Ha! How do you expect to do that? There's no way!”

It was a week later, it came to the day where Julius Vogel was finally going to make this huge change. He arrived down at the beach with all of his supplies hoping for everyone to already be there. But sadly, no one had showed up. He waited and waited and a few hours went by and he just sad on the rocks waiting for someone to show up. But no one did. So, he made up his mind. He asked himself, “Would people come if they saw the affect  my change happening across the ocean?” Then he went ahead. He carried his box of supplies from up on the reserve, opened all of his bottle and dumped the liquid into the ocean. A few minutes went by and a bunch of people came out of nowhere cheering and jumping for joy screaming, “Our oceans! Our oceans, there blue! YAY!!” Then after an hour or so, the entire city was cheering for Julius because of what he had done.

By the end of the day, all of our waters were blue and the creatures that had been lurking beneath have now come out from hiding and are swimming freely.   *Our task was to create our very own pourquoi tale. A Pourquoi tale is a fictitious story about something living. Example - How Tiger Got His Stripes, How Giraffe Got Its Long Neck.
