Pay it forward Lyrics

If I had some friends in the world
What would I do
Should I play with them or leave them crying by their selves?
I think I should play with them because they are my friends
Their names are Paige, Teija and Kerstein

It comes from your mind, your heart thats where know it starts
Images and Work we send so we know that we are friends
We would also make you laugh tickle you aswell
Tell a joke, pull a prank on you you you you

Hey let’s go get our lunch
before we play outside
nicely
With our friends

If you see someone that’s hurt
Then pick up that person
Take her to the sick bay
With our friends

Vocaroo Pay it forward

The Pig

As the midday sun rose high over the farm, Mikyra the pig, settled into her eleventh mud-wallow. Life was good for Mikyra. The next day Mikyra woke up upon an unusual place that she had never been before. Mikyra found herself at someone’s house. She was not at the farm anymore, she had been taken. Mikyra didn’t know that she had got taken, but she actually liked the house that she was at. Mikyra had a rosy pink snout, that twitched when she sniffs. The person that took her took Mikyra out for a walk. She got off the leash and she ran and ran until she got too tired, then she lay down on the ground and had a rest. When she lay down you would be able to see Mikyra’s patches of coarse hair, sticking out from her face in tufts. She then found a farm with a lot of animals. Furthermore, she went in the gate and the farmer came. The farmer saw that Mikyra was dirty. After that Farmer Greg washed off her body and she was then squeaky clean. Her small eyes were sharp and inquisitive when she was looking at me. Mikyra was also nosy by nature, always wanting to know what was going on around her.

The farm was down a long, muddy track, far away from the main highway.
As Mikyra went for a roll in the mud, she saw the three water tanks standing in a line like rotund guards. Mikyra’s farmer Will Smith, cleant up Mikyra and then Will packed, tidy, bales of hay which rested in a neat array. When she was tidy, Will took Mikyra up to the large green hill at the back of the barn. Moreover, Mikyra fell down and rolled all the way down to the rocky bottom of the hill and hurt herself. After that Will went down to where Mikyra was and patched up her cuts and sores. Rolling hills were also caught in the long shadows of the late afternoon sun. Then finally the old barn was home - comforting, cosy and always busy with it’s inhabitants. It was not often that the farm was quiet.

Mikyra the pig rested on the beach aside the large red barn, determine to get in the cold water. Mikyra jumped right into the freezing cold water. She went a bit too deep and then she almost drowned. Her hooves tried to tread the water, but she could hardly stay afloat. Mikyra tried to paddle to shore, but her hooves were too small. The turquoise water lapped at her snout.  She finally got to shore. It took about 30 mins for her to get their because of her little hooves. Panic was setting as she appeared unable close the gap to lap.

The Skater

Eventually I reached the crest of the hill, and that is where I saw him first. A heat have covered the city in a steamy blanket, turning the hill into a pastel mauve. The skater’s name is Michael. He walked down an alleyway to take a break and then his body silhouetted against the soft pink dust sky. As he was finishing his break, Michael walked back to the skate park. He did an ollie. After that  he shifts his weight, allowing for the board to rotate in mid-air. Also stern concentration caused the skater to frown.

Stewart Island

This is my movenote about Stewart Island

Invisibility is the best Superpower ever

I think that Invisibility will be the best superpower anyone could have because if you are playing hide and seek, then the seeker will find it hard to find you. Even if you see someone that is robbing a store or the bank, you will be able to catch them and the robber won't even see you coming.

I would love being invisible. Would you love to be invisible? If you were invisible what would you do with that super power? You might see if there is anyone that is robbing a house, shop or a bank. If there is, you could catch them easily.

Furthermore, when you are at school, you won't get bullied because no one will see you. People could use their invisibility to be a bad guy or they could use it to be a good guy and fight crime.

I hope you would like to be Invisible.

Maths Equation

Show how you work this out!

54 + ? = 86

54 + 32 = 86

54 + 30 = 84 + 2 = 86

Teija has saved $54 for a new bike and scooter. But both of them together is $86. How much more money does Teija need for the new bike and scooter?
54 + ? = 86
54 + 32 = 86
54 + 30 = 84
84 + 2 = 86

Another Maths Equation

Show how you work this out!

69 + ? = 120

69 + 31 = 100
100 + 20 = 120
69 + 51 = 120

Samoa has $69 to buy a new Laptop. She needs $120 to buy it. How much money does Samoa need to buy the new Laptop?
69 + 31 = 100
100 + 20 = 120
69 + 51 = 120

Maths Equation

Louise had saved $73 to buy a bike but she needed $92. How much more did she need to save?
$73 + ? = $92

$73 + $20 = $93

$93 - $1 = $92

$73 + $19 = $92

$73 + ? = $92

$73 + $20 = $93

$93 - $1 = $92

$73 + $19 = $92

What is Parliament?

What is Parliament?
If you've watched the news on television, you may have heard reporters say,
“Today in Parliament …” or “Parliament has passed a new law …”. You've
probably seen photographs of Parliament Buildings in Wellington, or you
may have even visited them. But do you know what happens there? What is
Parliament and what does it do?
Our Parliament has two parts: the Sovereign (the King or Queen) and the
House of Representatives. In New Zealand, the Sovereign is usually represented
by the Governor-General. The House of Representatives is made up of about 120
elected members of Parliament (MPs). The members of Parliament represent
the views and concerns of the people of New Zealand, which means we are a
representative democracy.
As well as representing the people, some members of Parliament form
the Government (or Executive) and are responsible for running the country.
Parliament also has the job of making new laws, updating old laws, and
approving decisions about how tax money will be spent for the benefit of all
New Zealanders. In addition, Parliament has opportunities to question the
Government’s actions to keep it “accountable” for the decisions it makes.
The Governor-General, on behalf of the Sovereign, acts as New Zealand’s
head of state. The Governor-General’s role in the work of Parliament is to
sign off new laws by giving them the Royal assent, open Parliament at the
beginning of a new term, and close it when there is to be a general election.
The Governor-General is chosen by the Prime Minister and is appointed by the
Sovereign, and carries out these responsibilities on advice from the Government.

Atareita's Weekends

Yesterday for Fathers Day I went to church. During church I did a performance with the oasis at my church.
I said a verse for my dad and it was:
Ephesians chapter 6 verse 4
Fathers do not provoke your children to anger by the way you treat them. Rather bring them up with discipline and instructions that comes from the lord.

When I said my verse I was actually kind of nervous, but when I said it I tryed to be confident and it worked. After church everyone kept on saying that they were proud of me. I felt awesome after everyone said that they were proud of me. Then we all went into the Cafe and my dad and uncle helped with the barbecue. My dad and my uncle cooked Onions, Steak, Chops, Marinated Steak and Sausages.

After that one of the lady's at church gave me a medium size pack of lollies and I went to show my sister (Paige). When I went through the tunnel to the basketball court, my other uncle came rushing to me for some of my lollies. I only gave him three because he only wanted three. Furthermore, I finally got to my sister. She saw the lollies that I had in my hand, then she came rushing towards me. She kept on asking for a milkshake, but I said no because she had forgotten my money in her tot ray in her class.

That is what I did Yesterday.

What is The Commonwealth all about?

What are the Commonwealth Games? First of all they are called the Friendly Games because the
competition is against individual sportsmen and women, but not between countries. The first ever Commonwealth Games were held in 1930 in Hamilton, Canada. There are always athletics swimming, playing the rugby sevens, netball, lawn bowls and even more events than you can imagine. In the Commonwealth Games there are 71 countries altogether. The Commonwealth Games are held every four years. Most recently, the 2010   games took place in New Delhi, India, and during 2006 the games were in Melbourne, Australia. The 2014 Commonwealth Games will be hosted by Glasgow, Scotland.

How do you Become an athlete?
In the Commonwealth games there are lots of amazing athletes and some of their names are:
Valerie Adams, Usain Bolt, Lauren Boyle, Josh Taylor, Eric Finau and there are lots of other athletes. To become a really good athlete to be in the Commonwealth Games you need to think about what sport you should be in and once you have done that you need to train. So pretend I picked boxing. I would need to be strong, fit and I will have to eat healthy food everyday and drink lots of water, but if I was doing gymnastics I would still have to eat healthy food everyday and  drink lots of water as well, but I would also need to be skinny, fit and confident.
That is what you need to do to be a good athlete no matter what sport you choose. So it is all up to you.

The sports of the Commonwealth are:

Shotput, Lawn bowls, Shooting, Sprinting, Swimming, Gymnastics Artistic, Heptathlon, High Jump, Netball, Rugby Sevens, Table Tennis, Squash, Weightlifting, Hockey, Judo, Wrestling, Boxing, Gymnastics Rhythmic, Triathlon, Powerlifting, Cycling Track, Cycling Mountain Bike, Badminton and Athletics.

What are the Commonwealth of Nations?
The Commonwealth of Nations is an intergovernmental organisation of 53 member states that were mostly territories of the former British Empire. The Commonwealth operates by intergovernmental consensus of the member states, organised through the Commonwealth Secretariat, and non-governmental organisations, organised through the Commonwealth Foundation.
The Commonwealth dates back to the mid 20th century with the decolonisation of the British Empire through increased self-governance of its territories. It was formally constituted by the London Declaration in 1949, which established the member states as "free and equal". The symbol of this free association is Queen Elizabeth II who is the Head of the Commonwealth. The Queen is also the monarch of 16 members of the Commonwealth, known as Commonwealth realms. The other members of the Commonwealth have different persons as head of state: 32 members are republicans and five members are monarchies with a different monarch.
What are the Commonwealth of Values?
The Commonwealth values, which include the promotion of democracy, human rights, good governance, the rule of law, individual liberty, egalitarianism, free trade, multilateralism and world peace, emerged in independence movements and the struggles for self-government.
In the immediate post-war period, the Commonwealth served as a kind of facilitator and forum for decolonisation, helping independence to be achieved in the former British colonies in a comparatively peaceful and friendly manner. As a result, most of the newly independent states opted to join the association. The first Commonwealth Secretary-General, Mr Arnold Smith, described this decision as at once pragmatic and forward-looking.

What did I do yesterday?

Yesterday I had to stay home because I was a little bit sick and today I am still a little bit sick. Yesterday I had fun. I stayed home until my dad got home from the Prison ( work ). But before my dad got home I received a letter from Westfeild Kids and it had a colouring picture on it and it said " Be in to win the draw and Win a Smiggles Bag ". All you have to do is colour in the picture of Monty the Superhero Monkey, then take it to the Community Service at Sylvia Park Mall. So when my father got home I showed my dad the letter after he ate and he said that it was cool. After that I showed my dad my loom bands and we needed more, so I asked my mum and dad if we could go and get some bands. So that was what we did. My mum went into the shop and got us the loom bands and she bought heaps of them. On our way to the shop we heard something on the news about loom bands getting band at some schools because they are getting flicked at people and they are a distraction. She bought, Black and White ones, Pink and White ones, Multi-coloured ones, Glow in the Dark ones and Green ones. My dad opened all packets and gave Me, Israel and Paige one container each and he shared out all of the bands into the containers. Then Paige and I taught my Oldest sister and Israel to make a Loom band. Me and Paige made lots of them. Then we put them away and had dinner. We had Sausages with Mashed Potatoes and gravy with vegetables. Then we watched a bit of TV and then went to bed.

What is the World Cup?

What is the World Cup?

The World Cup is held every four years. This year it is going to be held in Brazil. Brazil is the only country that has played in every world cup. Brazil is one of the best countries that have played in the FIFA world cup. The world cup was first televised on 1954. The world cup involves 32 teams in the whole game. USA and Portugal had a tie and one of the guys in the Portugal team missed the goal. In one of the games Ghana and USA played. USA got 2 points and Ghana had 1 point, so that means the team that must of won was USA.

The Big Black Whale. By James K. Baxter.

I wish I were a big black whale out in the deep green sea. He blows like a hose through the top of his nose, as happy as a whale can be and the sailors are pale when they hear his tail go Smack,Smack,Smack on a big waves dark out in the deep green sea.
