Astria - Extension Task

Today, in extension, we were given the opportunity to play a new game called, Astria. It is based all around Critical Thinking.

“Students don’t learn much playing this game called Astria – Countdown to Impact: Their time could be better spent doing other things”.

Do you agree, disagree or partly agree/disagree?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

From my own perspective, I partly agree/disagree. I agree that you aren't exactly learning much while playing this particular game, but at the same time I disagree because you are still at least learning something important. This game tests you on your critical thinking, which is something like judgment. But in this game, it is important to know how to judge the documents you are given. Wether they are useless, or wether they could be of use.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On a scale of 1-5, how successfully did you problem solve with your partner today?

Please include any ways you would collaborate differently with them next time you play.

My Partner (Sheales) and I worked together quite well actually. We took turns at reading the documents and advice given in the game, we took turns at judging the documents and we got quite far in the game but weren't given enough time to finish. Next week, we will be given the opportunity to finally finish the game, and hopefully learn more from it. Sheales and I work good together and nothing needs to be changed or improved.

  1. Hi Ata,
Its Naomi, I really like your blog post. I like it because you are giving your own opinion and you are saying it in a nice way. I also really like how you shared some images to us about the Astria game. Keep Up the good work.
